| PERD researchers have exclusively developed Literacy Books for AFT’s Azaan Literacy Program (ALP). These books are very useful and field tested. Through this tool an illiterate can read, write and speak in Urdu and Sindhi just in 3 months. These books not only make them literate but also develop their mathematical skills. |

| Sindhi version of Azaan Adult Literacy books were launched in January 2008. Keeping in view of the language problems being faced in interior Sindh, AFT in collaboration with Pakistan Educational Research and Development PERD has developed a Sindhi version of its adult literacy syllabus. This syllabus is currently being in practice in AFT’s adult literacy projects with Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) going on in Sukkur and Mirpur Khas. |

• Azaan syllabus is a complete course on adult literacy.
