Goals:
 
Enlighten communities and harness Information & Communication Technology (ICT) to support inquiry-based quality education to help them reach their maximum potential. As well as equitable breakthroughs for poverty alleviation and human resource development ensuring equal gender access in diverse, ethnic population.

Objectives:
 
Specific
 
Azaan Foundation provides computer labs to the disadvantaged schools to reduce gap between lower and upper class communities of the country. It provides ICT out reach through schools for children (from 5 to 16 years male/female) and adults (from 17 to 40 years male/female) from the disadvantaged communities, rural/urban poor so as to provide them with access to quality ICT education to meet the need of the hour.
 
General
 
  • Procure, refurbish, test, and install computer hardware and establish ICTRCs in schools with specified implementation time frame.
  •  
  • Research based advanced ICT Curriculum for the computer labs to be taught by the respective lab teachers to enrolled students.
  •  
  • Teachers training with the help of Intel’s “Teach to the Future” teacher’s training program.
  •  
  • Monitoring and Evaluation of each ICTRC for a period of two or three years while helping them to achieve complete self-sustainability, quality ICT education delivery and maximize operation performance.
  •  
  • basic IT literacy courses for the neighbourhood community.

    Measurable
     
    Positive human capital development and financial outcomes of the Azaan ICTRCs Program and ICT interventions in schools are following:
     
  • At least, 400 enrolled students, over 120 members from the neighborhood community and a teaching staff of more than 25 could utilize computer as a tool and enhance their learning skills on a yearly basis from every established ICTRC.
  •  
  • Azaan ICTRCs are financially self-sustainable from the day one of their establishment. If the student’s population is 400 or more, the funds for two more ICTRCs could be generated in two years or at least funds for one more lab could be generated if student population is less than 400.
  •  
  • Most advanced teachers training in collaboration with Pakistan Educational Research & Development (PERD).
