Multimedia Library
 
Multimedia Library will be established with each AFT-ICTRC by reserving one computer for library software. AFT will provide the school with software for these virtual libraries. The main activities for multimedia libraries will be:
 
  • To provide one computer in each school for multimedia library
  • To search the source of educational CDs and software
  • To coordinate with Universities and other Organization to get the educational CDs for school
  •  
    The manager for curriculum development will be responsible to keep the database of up to date source of virtual educational materials.
     
    Curriculum Development
     
    Although AFT provides the curriculum for regular classes as well as for the neighborhood ICT skills development courses to ICTRCs, but get in touch with latest technologies and software, current curriculum needs to be reviewed yearly. Following are the activities to develop the curriculum:
     
  • One-Day Workshop twice a year to review the prevailing curriculum
  • Formation of Academic Council for the Curriculum Development
  • Meetings of the Academic Council to review and suggest new curriculum
  • Implementation of the curriculum in partner schools in parallel to the curriculum being taught.

    E-Azaan Online Community
     
    More dynamic website is under development by Azaan Foundation Trust AFT. Following services will be offered under e-Azaan online community:
     
  • AFT will provide free email facility and also facilitate the participants with online discussion forum, newsletters and online training.
  • Online courses and curriculum will be provided and achievements of different schools will be highlighted.
  • Information sharing among different schools. This way the schools will mutually benefit from each other experiences, developments in one school will be immediately shared with other schools even in the remote areas through e-Azaan online.

    A newsletter will also be published to highlight success stories. The newsletter and e-Azaan online community will promote networks and linkages to enhance community mobilization of upto date information technology services.

    School Management Software and Training
     
    AFT has plans to provide computer equipment to schools for administration and management staff with preloaded school management software. This software will help staff working more effectively in less time. Training to administer this software will also be provided.
     
    Students Assessment Techniques
     
    Central tests for teachers and students will be designed by the Curriculum Manager; the same will be applied twice in a year to make quality assessment of IT teaching and learning in all the project schools. These tests will be in addition to the school regular tests.
