| Munir Ahmed Rashid A respected educationist, well known for his literary endeavors professionally in Pakistan. He earned his masters degree in Urdu literature, from Karachi University, graduating in first position. Awarded the Mir Khalil ur Rehman gold medal, Mr. Munir A.Rashid who began his writing career with the prose of poetry, now composes a series of literacy training textbooks for children. Mr. Rashid has written for several well known children's magazines and he is a prolific author |

| of children's literature. He has
authored many children's stories selected and published in New Delhi, India. The International Islamic University awarded Mr. Rashid for his great service to children's literature. Mr. Rashid's deep study and observation of children literature marks a prominent aspect of his literary career. |

| Munir Ahmed Rashid has also worked with World Bank as a linguist. He has acted as a consultant in a project to develop a syllabus
for the Balouchistan textbook board. He worked with the British council as an expert to asses the learning outcomes of children. Mr. Munir is well aware of American and British contemporary
educational research and development. The National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) used the Literacy Project
designed by Munir Ahmed Rashid, providing literacy training to thousands of people in more than 40 districts. He has trained thousands of teachers all across Pakistan. Munir Ahmed Rashid
developed a number of training programs which are still used
in various parts of the country successfully. In the field of
curriculum development, Mr. Rashid has contributed several trend setting books such as Jugnoo Sabaq, Word to Web and Jugnoo Urdu Silsila. He conducted many research study surveys and
as a result developed a number of techniques for curriculum
development and evaluating the outcomes of those curricula
once implemented. |

| Munir Ahmed Rashid is a founding member of several educational organizations in Pakistan. He has trained many people performing vital roles in Pakistan's education sector. Mr. Rashid has been
a tremendous and invaluable contributor to organized, collective and integrated efforts for "Educational Change" in Pakistan.
The same endeavors brought him to Pakistan Educational Research & Development (PERD). Zaheen and the IDEA book series are
just a few of the extensive result s of his extensive research.
Munir A. Rashid continues to work on new and equally valuable projects and ideas for the benefit of educators and the field
of education in the future. |
